The pub has a lovely atmosphere with welcoming staff and a decent selection of drinks. The room was comfortable and clean, although some noise lingered from the bar below. I appreciated being allowed to bring in takeaway food since dining options were limited during my stay.

Great pub vibes and comfy stay!
Had a fab time in Barnard Castle. The staff were super friendly and even remembered our drinks! We enjoyed the jukebox and pool table in the bar area. Room was clean and cozy. The only thing was the shower could be a bit stronger. the atmosphere made it all worth it.

we really enjoyed our stay at the cricketers arms! our room was super comfy with a nice spacious bathroom. the host was really friendly n helped us with our bags, which was a nice touch. even tho the room faced a busy road, we didn't hear any noise at all. parking was easy too, we found a free spot right outside the pub.

Absolutely loved the comfortable beds! The rooms were clean and cosy, perfect for a quick family getaway. Just a heads up, the late-night pub noise might bother light sleepers. All in all, a great stay! 😊

The Cricketers Arms is a hidden gem! Enjoyed a fabulous local feast at the Bengal Merchant just a hop away. The friendly banter in the pub was spot on. A cozy, spotless twin room made for a sweet night’s sleep.
Only snag was the telly not working and a bit too many pillows for my liking, but honestly, it didn’t take the shine off our stay!

This was just an optimal selection for a passing visit in Barnard Castle with very good value for money. The staff pointed us to a great local pub for dinner, which was a delightful surprise. Be prepared for some pub noise on quiz and music nights.
